Inner Field is a series of mixed-media paintings built on wood panels as both image and object. Rather than depicting external scenes, the works register subtle shifts of inner temperature, rhythm, and quiet momentum. Small marks, a dot, a crescent, a star, function as sparse coordinates: not literal symbols, but soft signals that anchor attention and suggest spatial depth. Mineral pigments and earth-derived aggregates are layered, embedded, and gently abraded, allowing veils of color to accumulate like sediment while remaining luminous. The painted edges extend the field beyond the frontal plane, emphasizing the panel’s thickness and inviting a slower, bodily way of looking. Through restrained variations across the series, Inner Field proposes a calm zone where perception can settle and where viewers may sense lightness, warmth, and a faint, sustaining radiance.
